Springfield College senior Colby Wilson has taken advantage of the many educational opportunities that are available on campus, and used those experiences to become the very best version of himself.
Wilson is not only a student-athlete who leads his teammates on the track and field team, but he also strives in his mentorship role when welcoming incoming students as part of his duties as a New Student Orientation (NSO) leader. Wilson truly believes that giving back to the College is what makes Springfield College a special place.
“NSO is my favorite program at Springfield College,” expressed Wilson. “It allows students to fully support each other during the important transition from high school to college. That’s what our Humanics philosophy is all about, making sure we support each other so everyone can receive the best student experience possible.”
Wilson also serves as the president of the Men of Excellence club, and he works with members of the Student Athlete Leadership Team (S.A.L.T.) in creating programming that allows for all students to feel welcome on campus.
“The programs that I have been a part of have molded me into the person I am and the leader I want to be,” expressed Wilson. “I have been able to meet some of my best friends in the world, and learn from great mentors, and that’s all because of the support we receive each year from our great donors and supporters.”
